Praise for the film:

The Hollywood Reporter (Neil Young): “With an excellent nuanced performance by fresh-faced newcomer Kristofers Konovalovs at its core, the tale of a wayward 12-year-old’s painful transition toward maturity treads familiar turf with disarming confidence.”

Indiewire, Sydney’s Buzz (Carlos Aguilar): I”mpressively heartfelt and intimate, Mother, I Love You, is in essence an opportunity to reconnect with that boy or girl everyone was once. Nords brilliantly directs his lead actor to ensure his behavior and moral compass are aligned with his age.”
